Rejuvenate the Appearance of Your Cheekbones, Eyes, and Mouth with a Mid Facelift

Mid Facelift in Tijuana Mexico

Smile lines, droopy eyelids, and fine lines can detract from a youthful appearance, but it may not warrant a full facelift. For these patients, a mid facelift can be an ideal solution. Our plastic surgery team can provide mid facelift surgery at LIMARP® in Tijuana, México , to rejuvenate the look of your cheekbones, eyes, and the corners of your mouth. Additionally, this procedure involves a less invasive surgery and shorter recovery time when compared to a full facelift.

What is a Mid Facelift?

A mid facelift is different from a full facelift in that it only targets the areas of the mid face, including:

Benefits of a Mid Facelift

While similar to full facelift, the mid facelift offers some unique advantages. A mid facelift:

Is a Mid Facelift Right for You?

Mid facelift surgery is an excellent option for patients who have begun to show facial signs of aging, but do not yet need a full facelift. As a targeted treatment, mid facelift is ideal for the earliest noticeable signs of aging around the cheeks and eyes. Many mid facelift patients have tried non-surgical anti-aging measures, such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers, and wish to go one step beyond injectables, but not as far as a full facelift. This treatment offers a reasonable middle ground.

Patients often combine a mid-facelift with other forms of plastic surgery, such as brow lift, eyelid surgery, or rhinoplasty. When you come to LIMARP® for your initial consultation, our plastic surgery team will ask you about the features you wish to enhance and recommend a treatment plan that can best address your desired aesthetic goals.

How is a Mid Facelift Performed?

Before undergoing the procedure, you will be given the ideal type of anesthesia for your particular case, ensuring your comfort throughout the procedure. A mid facelift may be performed with the same incision sites as a full facelift, or it may use an incision site below the lower eyelid. Additional incisions may also be made through the inside of the mouth, and use fat from another part of the patient’s body to add volume to sunken cheeks. Once tissues have been refined, the incisions are closed in a way that results in taut, youthful features that look natural. The surgical procedure will only take approximately one to two hours and is frequently performed on an outpatient basis.

Your Recovery

After mid facelift surgery, patients will experience some swelling and bruising. Some numbness in the upper lip is also normal, and should not be cause for concern. Keep the head elevated as much as possible to minimize discomfort from swelling, and apply cold compresses to the face.

You will receive detailed instructions from LIMARP® regarding medications, bathing, and follow-up appointments. Please follow all instructions carefully to foster proper healing and optimal aesthetic results. Patients can generally go back to their usual routine after about one week and will start to see positive results as soon as the bruising has subsided, usually in just a few weeks.
