We Make Bariatric Medical Tourism Easy

Mexico Medical Tourism

Medical tourism is not a new phenomenon. As people who live and cross the border on an almost daily basis, we’re extremely familiarized with the idea of seeking medical assistance in another country. The reasons why people seek this external service vary, but one of the main ones is that the treatment they need is not available in their location and if it is, the cost is not accessible.

At first, medical tourism was known as “those who traveled from less-developed countries to major medical centers in highly developed countries for treatment unavailable at home”[1].

However, a new trend has arisen: citizens of highly developed countries choose to bypass care offered in their own communities and travel to less developed areas of the world to receive a wide variety of medical services. This is due to more available pricing and failures in their country’s healthcare system.

At least 2 million people from all over the world visit Tijuana yearly to receive medical treatment and wellness services. At Tijuana, you can obtain quality attention for just a small fraction of the price charged in the United States, Canada or Europe for the very same medical service.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune[2], medical tourism in Tijuana dates back to the 1960s and is now among the world’s leaders in medical service, with impressive new infrastructure and professional board-certified specialists. The most popular available specialties are plastic aesthetic surgery, lap band and bariatric surgery, oral care and eye care.
