"My first impression was that she was very calming with her conversation with me. Overtime I have fallen more in love with her bedside manner and upfront truthfulness. The office staff was friendly, and had no problem speak and understanding english."
"I guess the thing I liked least about her, if I had to choose was that her internet was slow and the heat did not seem to be on the first night. It turned out the Doctor on call did not know how to turn it on. Future patients should know she has your best interest at heart and is very knowledgeable about the process. She is VERY strict about the aftercare. You cannot leave early, skip things or try to do too much. Her staff watches you like a hawk to ensure proper recovery."
"Once you leave, she gives you a personal Nutritionist doctor who you can call anytime for any questions. Also a very detailed and structured diet. Dr. Pompa came in before surgery and explained all the risk and also the side effects. She wanted to be sure I was getting the surgery for me and not others impressions of me."
"If I had to rate Dr. Pompa, her staff and Clinic I would give her a 9.5 out of 10. Some may think I was over zealous about my rating but all you have to do is experience it yourself and you will understand. Yes I was in pain but that was not her fault...the surgery caused that.
I think bedside manner and surgical competence should go hand and hand and are both equally important. Dr. Pompa has them both!"
"Took my journey on 4/24/08 to TJ Mexico and got banded. I was so nervous at first, but after talking to Dr Pompa and meeting her the suspense was over she is so nice and her staff very accommodating. The facility was really nice with a great view as they where prep me for surgery I remember hearing the sound of the music in the room. I loved it !! very at peace.
Went Back to Visit Dr Pompa and staff and they greeted me and remembered me it was a great feel that they remembered.( Nice, caring PEOPLE)

"Doctor Pompa and her staff are incredible. Her office is beautiful and clean. I was stunned to know that 99% of the staff are all doctors! In MX, after high school, they go straight into med school and only have to do a one year residency to become doctors! I wondered why everyone was so young looking! I loved the warmth of the staff. They really made me feel comfortable. Everyone at home thought that I was going to die in surgery or get kidnapped while I was there, but MX was nothing like that at all. The accomodations we had were beautiful. Even the hotel staff were very very nice people. I felt safe and well cared for the entire time.
I would like to add that Dr. Pompa is an extraordinary woman who is an inspiration to young women everywhere. Her accomplishments of being a professor of medicine and a bariatric surgeon at her young age is nothing short of superb. In fact, I believe she hand picked her staff of doctors from the university she taught at."
